SHOE BUYING CRITERIA
Shoe Buying Criteria | Description |
---|---|
STYLE | A shoe that is pleasing to the eye and on trend. |
ARCH SUPPORT | Arch support built into the innersole or outersole to better support the middle of the foot. |
OUTER SOLE | The outer sole is the foundation of the shoe. It is the base of the shoe and can determine the amount of support a shoe has depending on rigidity. |
HEEL COUNTER | The heel counter refers to the back of the shoe. The heel counter cradles the heel and ‘locks’ the foot into the shoe. This is especially important in walking and running shoes. |
CUSHIONING | Cushioning is key for comfort and shock absorption especially in running shoes. |
TOE SPACE | Adequate room for your toes to minimise rubbing and blisters. |
ORTHOTIC FRIENDLY | Shoes that have a removable insole so an orthotic may be placed in it’s place. |
